Tourist visas to the UAE

The UAE issues single or multiple-entry tourist visas. A short-term tourist visa allows a stay in the country for 30 days, while a long-term tourist visa allows a stay of 90 days. The single tourist visa can be extended twice without the need to leave the country.

Tourist visas in the country vary in terms of length of stay and number of entry times. One of them is a short-term tourist visa that allows staying in the UAE for a period of (30) days and entering only once, or for multiple times as requested initially. Including long-term tourist visas that allow to stay in the UAE for a period of (90 days) and enter only once, or for multiple times as requested initially. Before applying for a visa, you must specify the duration of your visit, the purpose of it, and the number of entry times you want. According to the latest update, it is possible to issue a tourist visa without a guarantor and a multi-entry visa with a validity period of five years, allowing the holder to stay in the country each time for 90 days, extendable for a similar period.

As of October 21, 2018, visitors and tourists in the UAE can request the extension of visit and tourism visas and entry permits of all kinds (long or short) for a period of 30 days, and only twice, regardless of the original visa’s basic period, and without the need to leave the UAE. The fee for the extension of entry permits and tourist visas is 600 dirhams per extension, and the renewal application must be submitted before the expiry of the previous visa’s validity period. Violators who exceed the duration of the visa without renewing it according to the established rules and times, shall incur a fine of 100 dirhams for each day of delay, imposed 10 days after the expiry of the entry permit or visa, and the extension date is calculated from the expiry date of the previous entry permit.
